I knew this would happen...

I knew I would get behind on this. Sorry. I have been busy basket weaving ;) David always asks me what I am doing when he clearly knows what I am doing and how focused I am on doing it and I always answer, "I am weaving a basket"!

Anyways, lots has happened in the Tate household. We had a super fabulous Christmas, probably my favorite one in my 29 years! My parents took our family and my sister and her husband on a Disney vacation. We spent 5 days in the Lake Buena Vista Palace hotel and visited Epcot on Friday, Animal Kingdom on Saturday, and Hollywood Studios and the Magic Kingdom on Sunday. Animal Kingdom was my least favorite. The animals were cool, but there were so many people and the walkways are just way too small. I have a big issue with that. Especially when people are not aware of the 40 million other people around them trying to get by! Other than that it was such a fun time! Joseph had a great time too. He especially loved the Winne the Pooh park. I know he won't remember this trip, but I know I always will (and so will my family). My sister also cut and colored my hair...yay!

On the day Joseph was supposed to start daycare he got a double ear infection. Of all the luck in the world. He has never had an ear infection, never taken antibiotics and the day he is supposed to start school, he gets one. (And just today we took him back to the doctor for a recheck and they haven't completely cleared up...poor guy). So he started daycare about 2 weeks ago and what an interesting journey that has been, and probably will be for the next few months. He is going to B'Nai Israel Community Day School on Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays. The first day he didn't cry until after we left and he saw other kids crying, but then it just got progressively worse. Now he cries pretty much when we walk in the door and that is other thing causing "problems" - walking. Joseph IS walking but not as well as the other kids in his class, so he doesn't do so well when they are transitioning. I think this past Friday he had a good day, but he didn't go today (because of the ear infection) so now I feel like we are going to have another few rough weeks before he totally adjusts. I know that daycare is going to be a great thing. He will learn so much. But sometimes its hard not to want to keep your kid in their own little bubble. What I mean is, David and I know Joseph better than anyone else and besides from my parents, sister and david's mom he really has never been in anyone elses care, so its just hard to leave him with total strangers. I know this too will get better, but right now I am just having a hard time adjusting too =).

I think that is pretty much it for now. I will post some pictures soon too!
